t MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
Alit-UST 13, 2001
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
Were: City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Frantz.

Also present were: Safety Director Rodden, Planning and Zoning Director Jana Ecker,
Wastewater Treatment Director Traylor, Animal Shelter Director Keller, Parks Director Rick
Elliott, Redevelopment Director Duggins, Personnel Director Ellis, Administrator Rich Davis,
Fire Chief Smith, Police Chief Pavey, Street Commissioner Grant, Wastewater Collection
Supervisor Wright, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of 8-6-01 as presented, seconded by
Councilperson Frantz and carried unanimously.

19"PUB AND GRILL
Bob Perrin requested a beer permit for the day of 8-25-01 for a festival they are having. Police
Chief Pavey said he would sign the permit application.
GIS CONTRACT
Planning and Zoning Director Ecker requested approval of the GIS Contract with Jacobi,
Toombs, and Lanz. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the contract, seconded by
Councilperson Frantz and carried unanimously:
POTHOLES
Nellie Knowland asked the Mayor when the potholes would be filled on Fairview and Magnolia Avenue.
He said Street Commissioner Grant would take care of them.
PEDDLER PERMIT
Engineer Miller said that an A and B Sales representative selling cleaning supplies is going door to door
approaching people in a forceful way. The bank returned the permit fee paid by check for insufficient
funds. Mayor Galligan told Police Chief Pavey to pull the permit of A and B Sales.

k There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
Frantz to adjourn at 10.20 a.m., seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
