SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, IN
DUNE 18,2001
Street Engineer Bob Miller called the meeting to order at 9:40 a.m., and on call of the roll
those members present were Parks Director Rick Elliott and Councilperson Dennis
Frantz.
Also present were: Building Commissioner William Gavin, Wastewater Treatment Plant
Director Jim Traylor, Police Chief Mike Pavey, Safety Director Dan Rodden, Planning
and Zoning Director Jana Ecker, Redevelopment Director David Duggins, Animal
Shelter Director. Cindy Keller Fire Chief Mike Smith,Personnel Director Jerralyn Ellis,
and Clerk Suzy Bass.
Councilperson Frantz made a motion to approve the payroll as presented seconded by
Parks Director Rick Elliott and carried unanimously.
Phyllis Kaelin had asked to appear before the Board but did not show.
r- ZONING VIOLATION
Director Ecker informed the Board that she now has a site plan of the Makowsky Oil
property in regards to the complaints of gravel dust. This area would be from the font of
the property all the back to the area that surrounds his fuel storage tanks. After
discussion,the motion was made by Councilperson Frantz to have Makowsky Oil pave
their property to cut down on the gravel dust, seconded by Director Elliott and carried
unanimously.
Director Ecker also has a site plan for the property on Hamburg Pike and Fabricon Blvd
owned by Ted Throckmorton. This subject matter was tabled until the next meeting.
There being no further business to come before the Board the motion was made by
Engineer Miller to adjourn at 9:45 am seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carried
unanimously.
