OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
APRIL 23, 2001
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
Were: Parks Superintendent Elliott sitting in for City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Frantz.
Also present were: Safety Director Rodden, Planning and Zoning Director Jana Ecker,
Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, , Wastewater Treatment Director Traylor, Animal Shelter
Director Keller, Parks Director Rick Elliott, Redevelopment Director Duggins, Personnel
Director Ellis, Street Commissioner Grant, Administrator Rich Davis, Fire Chief Smith, Police
Chief Pavey, Wastewater Treatment Plant Asst. Director Wilkey, Motor Vehicle Supervisor
Ewton, Councilperson Merkley, and Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
SIGNS AT CITY ENTRANCE
Ted Throckmorton spoke to the Board in regard to the Jeff High School Basketball
Championship signs that were taken down when the new City of Jeff signs were put up. Mayor
Galligan said the championship signs are being redesigned and will be put back up as soon as
they are ready.
HOUSE MOVE
Kirk Swenson asked the Board for approval to move a house from 230 Market Street to 327
Mechanic Street. He has all the required permits. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve
moving the house, seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carried unanimously.
212 WALNUT ST. RESIDENT PARKING
Police Chief Pavey said he would check out this location for resident parking and report back to the
Board.
PARADE PERMIT
Police Chief Pavey said he would check out the details and information on this request from Christ
1,- Community Church at Chestnut and Walnut Streets. Dorma Shelburn-Wright is the contact person.
THUNDER
Redevelopment Director Duggins told the Board that Gary Pavey of the police department did a great job
coordinating the roadblocks and so forth for Thunder.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
Frantz to adjourn at 10:00 a.m., seconded by Parks Superintendent Elliott and carried unanimously.
