ORDINANCE NO. 200S-0R-75
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BEAUFICIATION COMMITTEE
NON-REVERTING FUND
WHEREAS, the Beautification Committee (the "Committee") periodically
receives donations for various civic projects; and
WHEREAS, to enhance its service to the citizens of the City the
Beautification Committee needs to establish a non-reverting fund to administer the
funds necessary to implement the various civic projects; and
WHEREAS, the donations to the Beautification Committee would be a non-
tax source of income to fund and implement the various civic projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville, Indiana that it hereby establishes a non-reverting fund for the
purpose of receiving and holding donations received by the Beautification
Committee. Monies from the non-reverting fund may be used to enhance the
Committee's capacity to fund and implement various civic projects. This fund shall
be entitled "The Beautification Committee Non-Reverting Fund" and monies may be
expended from this fundonly upon the filing of a proper claim in issuance of a
warrant for payment by the Clerk-Treasurer after approval by the Common Council
of the City of Jeffersonville. Hereafter the Clerk-Treasurer shall not deposit monies
the Beautification Committee receives as donations into the general fund but shall
deposit those fees into this non-reverting fund.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
