Home My WebLink About09-29-2006 COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA September 29,2006 The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana met in regular session in the Room 302, City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, Indiana, at 10:00 A.M. on Friday September 29,2006. Council President Barbara Wilson, with Clerk Treasurer Peggy Wilder at the desk, called the meeting to order. Also present were City Attorney Les Merkley and " I . Deputy Clerk Barbara Hollis) ~ ~ ~ ~ The roll was called and those present were; Councilpersons John Perkins, Ed Zastawny, Connie Sellers, Barbara Wilson, and Phil McCauley. Absent: Councilpersons Ron Grooms and Keith Fetz. Following discussion, Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the agenda with the addition of the Salary Ordinance, second by Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote of 5-0. AGENDA ITEMS: Following discussion, Councilperson Perkins made the motion to amend Ordinance No. 2006-0R-53, An Ordinance Of Appropriations and Tax Rates, to reflect all that can be placed in the operating balance, second by Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote of 5-0. Councilperson Perkins then made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 2006-0R-53 as amended on the second and third readings, second by Councilperson McCauley, passing on a vote of 5-0. No public comment was voiced. Councilperson McCauley noted the EDIT budget is in the amount of $950,000. Clerk Treasurer Wilder presented and explained Ordinance No. 2006-0R-54, An Ordinance Of Additional Appropriation (EDIT-SRT Equipment). Councilperson Perkins made the motion to suspend the rules for Ordinance No. 2006-0R-54, second by Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote of 5-0. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 2006-0R-54 on all three readings, second by Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote of 5-0. No public comment was voiced. June 5, 2006 2 Clerk Treasurer Wilder presented Ordinance No. 2006-0R-52, An Ordinance Fixing Basic Salaries Of Appointed Officers And Employees Of The City Of Jeffersonville, Indiana For The Year 2007. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 2006-0R-52 on the second and third readings with the adjustment of the Planning and Zoning Director to be the same as the Building Commissioner, second by Councilperson McCauley, passing on a vote of 5-0. Council person Perkins made the motion to recess until noon, second by Councilperson Zastawny, passing on a vote of 5-0. The meeting resumed at noon in Room 101, City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court.
