RESOLUTION 2005 - R- ~ t~2
RESOLUTION REGARDING REASSESSMENT
WITHIN UTICA TOWNSHIP
WHEREAS, the corporate boundaries for the City of JeffersonviJle is located with/n
parts of Utica Township; and
WHEREAS, the Utica Township Assessor has statutory authority and responsibility
to reas~ess real and personal property within said township; and
WHEREAS, the Utica Township Assessor has failed to perform his statutory duties
in that the general reassessment has not been completed; and
WHEREAS, the fafture to timely and accurately reassess will have a detrimental
impact on the City of Jeffersonville's assessed valuation and therefore, affect the property
tax rate; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby urges the
Utica To~vnship Assessor to perform his statutory duties and reassess both real and personal
property within the city boundaries located in Utica Township.
