COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
July 25, 2005
The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana met in special session
in the Mayor's Conference Room in the City-County Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana, at
7:30 P.M. on Monday July 25, 2005.
Council President Ron Grooms, with Chief Deputy Clerk Treasurer Suzy Bass at
the desk, called the meeting to order. Also present was City Attorney Les Merkley. The
roll was called and those present were; Councilpersons John Perkins, Ed Zastawny, Keith
Fetz, Connie Sellers, Barbara Wilson, Phil McCauley, and Ron Grooms.
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the agenda second by
Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote of 7-0.
A waiver of notice pursuant to provisions of IC 36-3-4 of the special City Council
meeting called on July 25, 2005 for the purpose considering the Mayor's veto of
Resolution 2005-R-26 and 2005-R-27 and to vote on the possible override of said veto
and consents to the Council President conducting the meeting was presented to the Chief
Deputy Clerk Treasurer. All waivers were signed by the Council members. The motion
was made by Councilperson Perkins to tender these notices for the record, seconded by
Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote of 7-0. Attorney Merkley said that this code
does not affect cities because we are not unigov.

Councilperson McCauley made the motion to override the veto of Resolution
2005-R-26 second by Councilperson Zastawny, passing on a vote of 7-0.
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to override the veto of Resolution 2005-
R-27 second by Councilperson Wilson, passing on a vote of 7-0.

Councilperson Grooms announced the following meetings of the City Council'
August 1, 2005 at 12:00 noon in the Mayor's Conference Room to cOnsider developing a
Cum Cap Development Fund on the second and third readings; August 1, 2005 at 5'30
p.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room for a special meeting; August 1, 2005 at 7'00 p.m.
for an Executive Session for pending litigation.
As there was no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was
adjourned 7:40 P.M. ~~
