RESOLUTION AMENDING 2004-R-40
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2004 AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE
AND
JEFFERSONVILLE FIREFIGHTERS
I.A.F.F. LOCAL 558
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville recognizes the Local
558 International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, (the "I.A.F.F. Local 558"), as the
bargaining agent for the City's f~re fighters; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville (the "City") and the I.A.F.F. Local 558
entered into a contract for the calendar years January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2008
(the "Contract"); and '
WHEREAS, on December 20, 2004, the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville adopted the contract; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Common
Council of the City of Jeffersonville does hereby amend the following Articles of the
Contract for the calendar years January. 1, 2005 through December 31, 2008 adopted on
December 20, 2004;
Article 22.2 Holidays to read as follows:
Commencing January 1, 2005, and each year thereafter, the Employer will pay each
Firefighter four (4%) of a First Class Firefighters' pay for holiday pay, payable one half on

Article 26.1 Clothing Allowance to read as follows:
Commencing January 1, 2005, and each year thereafter, Firefighters will receive four
Percent (4%) of First Class Firefighters' pay for clothing allowance payable one half on the

Article 27.1 Certification Pay to read as follows:
Commencing. January 1, 2005, Firefighters who have been certified as First
Responders will receive two percent (2%) of a First Class Fire fighters ' pay each year for two
years. On January 1, 2007, Certified First Responders will receive three (3%) of a First Class
Firefighers' pay for two years payable one half on the second pay period in
