BEFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
A RESOLUTION INDICATING INTEREST IN MAKING A
PURCHASE OF PROPERTY LOCATED BEHIND THE SCOTT
FUNERAL HOME AND SE'RENTIY COURT ON NEW ALBANY..
CHARLESTOWN PIKE
WHEREAS, the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana (the "Council") is the fiscal body of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
(the "City"); and
WHEREAS, the Council is interested in making a purchase of certain
land located behind the Scott's Funeral Home and Serenit7 Court off New
Albany-Charlestown Pike for the purposes of a drainage project;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that pursuant
to I.-C. 36-1-10.5 the Council is interested in making a purchase' of certain land
located behind the Scott's Funeral Home and Serenity Court off New Albany-
Charlestown Pike for the purposes of a drainage proiect;
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to I.C. 36-1-10.5 the
Board of Public Works and Safety (the ~"Board") shall appoint a two (2)
appraisers to appraise the fair market value of the l~tnd; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to I.C. 36-1-10.5 the
Board shall provide a copy of both appraisals to the Council.
