BEFORE THE COMMON. COUNCIL
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
A RESOI~UTION INDICATING INTEREST IN MAKING A
PURCHASE OF PROPERTY I~OCATF-D~BEHIND THE CENSUS
BUREAU NEAR'AMERICA'S pLACE
WHEREAS, the Common Council {'or the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana (the "Council") is the fiscal body of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana
(the "City"); and
WHEREAS, the Council is interested in making a purchase of certain
land located behind the Census Bureau near America's Place at the corner of
Main Street, Avenue A and 1 lth Street for the purposes of constructing a new
city garage;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that pursuant
to I.C. 36-1-10.5 the Council is interested in making a purchase of certain land
located behind the Census Bureau near America's Place at the corner of Mah.~
Street, Avenue A and 11~h Street for the purposes of constructing a new city
garage;
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to I.C. 3.6-1-10.5 the
Board of Public Works and Safety (the "Board") shah appoint a two (2)
appraisers to appraise the fair market value of the land; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to I.C. 36-1-10.5 the
Board shall provide a copy of both appraisals to the Council.
