An Ordinance of the City of 3effersonville appropriating the sum of Sixty-six Thousand Dollars ($66,000) to be applied on the cost of impro~zements to the sanitary sewer system of the City, and expenses incidental thereto ~nd the issuance of bonds on account thereof WHERF-J~S, the Board of Public Works and Safety has requested an appropriation in the amount of Sixty-six Thousand Dollars ($66,000) to be applied on the cost of improvements to the sanitary sewer system of the City by the installing of a new lift station, alterations and improve- ments to two existing lift stations, and installation of additional force 1T~alns, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with such project and the issuance of bonds to procure the necessary funds therefor; and WHEI~EAS, the Council now finds that it is necessary to provide for the improvements to the sanitary sewer system of the City as re- quested by the Board of Public Works and Safety; that the City has no funds available for such project nor provided for in the existing budget, making it necessary to authorize the issuance of bonds to procure the required funds; and WHEI{E~S, a petition has been filed by owners of taxable real estate in the City requesting the Common Council to authorize the issu- ance of bonds of the City for the purpose of procuring funds to be applied on the cost of improvements to the sanitary sewer system of the City by the installing of a new lift station, alterations and improvements to two existing lift stations, and installation of additional force m~s, which petition the Council finds t° b_e i~u_~o~{~.~, properly ~erified by signers thereof, and certified by the Auditor of Clark County as being signed by more than fifty owners of taxable real estate in the City of Jeffer- sonville; that said petition in all ways conforms to the requirements of the provisions of Sec. 64-313 Burns Statutes 1933; and WHEREAS, the Council now finds that the City has no funds available or provided for in the existing budget and tax levy which may be applied on said project, making it necessary to authorize the issuance of bonds of the City in order to procure such funds; and that an extraordinary emergency exists for the making of the additional appropriation hereinafter set out; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE: Section 1. That the sum of Sixty-six Thousand Dollars ($66, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the proceeds of the bonds designated as "Municipal Bonds of 1960," heretofore authorized to be issued, to be applied on the cost of improvements to the sarLitary sewer system of the City by the installing of a new lift station, alterations and improvements to two existing lift stations, and installation of additional force mains, requested by the Board of Public Works and Safety, and the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with such project and the issuance of bonds on account thereof. Sec. 2.
