An 0rdiance Establishing Longevity Pay to the Members ef the
Jeffersonville Police Department.
Section One.
Be it Ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Weffersonville, Indiana, that in computing the compensation to
be received by the regular members of the Jeffersonville Police
Department, there shall be added to the salary of all regular
members of said Police Department Longevity pay, as fixed from
year to year, an amount computed in accordance with the tables
set out in Section Two, hereof:
Section Two.
The amount of Longevity Pay to be issued to said members
of the Jeffersonville Police Department shall be as follows:

The years of service mentioned in this Ordinance shall include
a~d be allowed only for years spent in the Actual Service as a member of
the ~effersonville Police Department.
Longevity Pay shall be added to the Pay of members of the
Jeffersonville Police Department with regards to their rank pay. But
Longevity Pay shall be based only upon the pay of First Class Patrolmen°
Increases in Longevity Pay will only be allowed in January 1st
and July 1st of each year° ~tll Officers hired between January 1st and
June ~0th will receive their increase as of July 1st, and all Officers
~ired between July 1st and December ~lst will receive their increases
on ~anuary 1st with accordance to the above sch~duleo
The base pay of a First Class Patrolman of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana for the year 1980 is $~,980e00 per annum.
Section Three.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by law.
