An Ordinance of the City of Jeffersonville appropri-

of bonds on acc~t ~ereof
WHEI{EAS, the Jeffersonville City Park and Recreation Board
has found tb~t it would be for the best interests of sai~ City and its cit-
izens to provide for the construction and equipment of a swin0_rning pool
and appurtenances in said City, and has by resolution, adopted after due
notice and public hearing as required by law, recommended that general
obligation bonds in the amount 9£ One Hundre~ Seventy Thousand Dollars
($170,000) be issued to provide funds for application on the cost of said
project, and has requested an approprxat~ n in said mount; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City o£ se/fersonville has
reviewed the proposal of the Jeffersonville City Park and Recreation
Board and now approves said proposal and finds that said project will be

WHEREAS, a petition has been filed under the provisions of Chap-
ter 119 of the Acrs of 1937 by more than fifty ~50) owners of taxable real
estate in the ~City of Jefiersonville requesting the Common Council to is-
sue the bonds of said C~ty in an amount not exceeding One Hundred Seventy
Thousand DqHars ($170,000) for the purpose of procuring funds to be
plied on the c9~ Of S~id project! and
WHEREAS, the Council now finds tha~ the proposed improvement
is necessary and will be of general benefit to the City and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Council now finds that an extraordinary emer-
gency exists for the making of the additional appropriation as requested
by the Seffersonville City Park and Recreation Board; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THeE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFEiLSON-VILLE:
Section i. That the s~ of One Hundred Se~zenty Thousand Dol-
lars ($I70,000) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the pro-
ceeds of the bonds designated as '~Park and Recreation Bonds," hereto-
fore authorized to be issued, to be applied on the cost of construction
and equipment of a sw~imming pool and appurtenances in the City of
Jeffersonville, requested by the 3effersonville City Park and Recrea-
tion Board, and the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in
conlleCtlon with such project and the iss~uance of bonds on account there-
of.
Sec. Z. This ordinanc[e. ~ shall be in full force and effect, from
and after its Passage and signing by the l~ayor.
