COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
JUNE24,1999
The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville met in special session in the Mayor's
Conference Room in the City-County Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana, at 5:15 P.M. on the 24th day
of June, 1999.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Thomas R. Galligan. Mayor Galligan asked all
those present to join him in the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
The roll was called and those present were Councilpersons John Perkins, Donna M. Frantz,
Peggy Knight Wilder, Barbara Wilson, Andrew Williams III, and Vicki Conlin.
Absent: Councilperson Ron Ellis.
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 99-OR-39, An Ordinance
Transferring Certain Funds Within Same Department (Vehicle Maintenance) on the third reading,
seconded by Councilpersun Williams, passing unanimously.
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 99-Or-38, An Ordinance
Amending Certain Ponions Of Section 1 Of Ordinance No. 98-OR-47 (Vehicle Maintenance) on the
third and final reading, seconded by Councilperson Williams, passing unanimously.
Councilperson Perkins initiated discussion on preserving the Quadrangle. Following all
discussion, it was decided City Attorney Anne Made Galligan will contact the Historic Board.
There being no further business to come before the Council, Council President Conlin made
the motion to adjourn at 5:35 P.M., seconded by Council erson Williams, passing unanimously.
