AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SPECIAL APPROPRIATION
FROM THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 6th day of January, 1964, at a
regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of leffersonville,
h~diana, held in the City Hall of said City, the Common Council passed
a Resolution fixing the 3rd day of February, 1964. at 7:30 P. M., at the
City Hall in said City as the time and place for a meeting of the said
Common Council for the purpose of considering and determining whether
an emergency exists for the passage of an Ordinance making appropriation
from the General Fund of the City of J effersonville, h~diana.
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has given notice of the rime,
place and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by law, and
WHEREAS, it having been determined by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for the appropriation
of $9,832. 00, for the purposes stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville, h~diana:
SECTION 1.
That an emergency exists and that there shall be and hereby is
appropriated from the General Fund of the City of J effersonvllle the sum
of $9,832. 00, for the following purposes and amounts:
Purchase of real estate for construction of new
fire house at Eighth and Wall Streets $
Remodeling of Building 74 owned by City of
J effersonville, for use of Building Commissioner
of the City of J effersonville
6,500. 00
1,500. 00
Payment of C. J. Garner for architectural
services for proposed remodeling of the buildi~ng
owned by the City at the Quarter Ma~ter for use
as a City Hall
Purchase of desk, typewrimr, chair, and other
miscellaneous office equipment for ~office of Mayor
Pay for a second assistant Fire Chie~ to be
appointed
Pay to Doctor L, D. Bower for dental work in ·
replacement of dental plate for Fireman Wentworth
Bennett

SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
