· vacancy or vacancies on the board of directors of
Rivervlew Apartments, !nCo, in the event such
vacancy or vacancies are not filled otherwise.
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Jefferson-
vi!lc, Indiana:
Section i. That whereas Riverview Apartments, trico is a
corporation organized under "The Zndiana General Not For Profit
Corporation Act", and whereas the purposes for which said cor-
poration has been formed are "to provide housing and related
facilities for elderly families and elderly persons as defined by
Section 202 of the National Housing Act of 1959 (Title 12 United
States Code, Section 170lq), and to do each and every thing necessary,
suitable or proper for the accomplishment of said purposes", and
whereas said corporation intends to provide such housing and related
facilities within the City of Jeffersonville, Zndiana, and whereas
the by-laws of said corporation provide for the election of a board
of directors and the filling of any vacancy or vacancies on said
board of directors by the remaining directors, and whereas the
possibility exists that such vacancy or vacancies could not or
would not be filled in the manner provided in said by-laws.
Section 2o That if the vacancy or vacancies referred to in
Section 1 hereof cannot be or is not filled in the manner provided
in such by-laws within ninety (90) days from the creation of such
vacancy or vacancies, the Common Council of the City of yefferson~lle,
Zndiana, will, by a majority vote of its members, set~ct a suitable
person or persons to fill said vacancy or vacancies.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage. ~~,
