AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1527
AND CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF
CERTAIN REAL ESTATE FROM Ri TO R2.
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana, after petition, legal notice, hearing and being fully
advised in the premises has recommended a change in zoning
classification to the real estate hereinafter described from
a R-1 classification to that of R-2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, that Ordinance No. 1527 (Zoning
Ordinance) be amended as to the following described real estate
situated in the City of Jeffersonville, County of Clark, State
of Indiana, to-wit:
Part of Lots Numbers 12 and 13 of Della Plains Subdivisic~,
a plat of which subdivision is of record in Plat Book 4, page
111, in the office of the Recorder of Clark County, bounded
as follows: Beginning at a stake at the southeast corner of
Lot No. 12, corner to E. W. and Louella Coots and deed lane;
thence with said lane and the eastern boundary of Lot No. 12
in a northerly direction 229 feet and 10 inches to a stake;
thence at right angles westwardly across lots 12 and 13 to
the line dividing Lots 13 and 14 of said Della Plans; thence
with said dividing line ~outhwardly 229 feet lo inches to the
southwest corner of Lot 1~ thence with the southern boundary
of Lot 13 and Lot 12 eastwardly 429 feet to the place of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the following described tract: Beginning
at the southeast corner of Lot No. 12; thence northwardly along
the eastern boundary of Lot No. 12, 89 feet 11 inches to a point;
thence westwardly and parallel with the south line of said
Lot No. 12, 125 feet to a point; thence southwardly and paral~tel
to the east line of Lot No. 12, 89 feet 11 inches to a point;
thence eastwardly along the south line of Lot No. 12, 125 feet
to the place of beginning.
Also excepting therefrom the following described tract:
Beginning at a point in the east line of Lot No. 12 229 feet l0
inches northwardly from the southeast corner of Lot No. 12;
thence westwardlyand parallel with the south line of Lot No.
12, 125 feet to a point; thence southwardly and parallel with
the east line of Lot No. 12, 89 feet 11 inches to a point;
thence eastwardly and parallel with the south line of Lot No.
12, 125 feet to a point; thence northwardly along the east line
of Lot No. 12, 89 feet 11 inches to the place of beginning.
Also, being part of Survey No. 10 of the Illinois Grant
and more particularly described as Lots Nos. 14 and 15 of the
Della Plains Farm, a plat of which is recorded in Plat Book No.
4 at page 111 of the records in the office of the Recorder of
Clark County, Indiana. Except 120 foot strip along the southwest
side of Lot 15.
Passed and adopted at a meeting of the Common Council of
the City of Jeff~rsonville, Indiana, this 4th day of January,
1965.
