An Ordinance Authorizing A Special Appropriation
From the Motor Vehicle Fund.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 12th day of September, 1966,
at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Jeffer-
sonville, Indiana, held in the Court House of said City, the
Common Council passed a resolution fixing the 3rd day of October,
1966, at 7:30 P.M., at the Court House in said City as the
time and place for a meeting of aaid Common Council for the purpose
of considering and determining whether an emergency exists for
the passage of an ordinance making an appropriation from the Motor
Vehicle Fund,
WHEREAS, the Clerk Treasurer has given notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by
law, and
WHEREAS, it having been determined by the Common Council
of the City of Jeffersonv~lle that an emergency exists for the
appropriation of $30,000.00 for the purpose stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, IND~{NA:
Section 1.
That an emergency exists and that there shall be and hereby
is appropriated from the Motor Vehicle Fund to the Motor Vehicle
Construction and Re-Construction Fund for the purpose of surfacing
and resurfacing city streets the sum of $30,000.00.
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
