WHEREAS, heretofore on the ~ day of June, 1966, at
a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Jeffer-
sonville, Indiana, held in the Court House of said City, the
Common Council passed a resolution fixing the /~ day of
July, 1966, at 7:30 o'clock, P.M., at the Court House in said
City as the time and place for a meeting of the said Common
Council for the purpose of considerXng and determining whether
an emergency exists for the passage of mn Ordinance making an
appropriation from the General Fund of the City of Jeffersonville,
WHEREAS, the Clerk Treasurer has given notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by
law, and
W~REAS, it having been determined by the Common Council
of the City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for the
appropriation of $4,500.00 for the purpose stated:
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana:
.Section 1.
That an emergency exists and that there shall be and hereby
is appropriated from the General Fund of the City of Jeffersonville
the sum of $4,500.00 for the purpose of paying for a special
census of the population of the city.
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
