An Ordinance Authorizing the City of Jeffersonville
to Participate in the Interlocal Corporation Act.
WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Indiana
in the Acts of 1957, Chapter 118, SectiOns 1 thru 7, authorized
municipal governments within a county to participate in joint
.effort for harmonious development of economic, social, physical
and cultural assets, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
is of the opinion that such city should participate ~ such
corporation act,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA:
Section 1.
That the Mayor of the City of Jeffersonville be authorized
and empowered to enter into such agreements under such act with
the towns of Clarksville & Sellersburg, the City of Charlestown,
and to do such other things as in such act
and Clark County,
are authorized.
Section 2. '~
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
