I,~%tEREAS, there now exists a pressing need for the City
of Jeffersonville to complete the Preliminary planning and
engineering for the additional sewer facilities, and
~EREAS, it is vital to the industrial development and
industrial growth of the city that these needs be met,
NOW TH£REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonvil!e that a request for a loan in the
amount of $100,000.00 be made to the Industrial Development
Fund of the Indiana Department of Commerce, with which and out
of which to pay for preliminary planning and engineering for
an extended sewer system and additional treatment facilities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Richard L. Vissing, MAyor
of the City, be authorized to execute such applications for such
loan and do all things necessary in order to procure such funds
from such department.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonvite,
Indiana, this ~ ..day of June, 1966.
