An Ordinance Creating the Jeffersonville
Economic Development Co~nission.
WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Indiana in
session in 1965 enacted legislation authorizing the creation
of an economic development commission, such act being entitled
the Municipal Economic Development Act of 1965.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that there is hereby created a department
of economic development, which shall be under the control of
a board of three (3) members and shall be known as the Jefferson-
ville Economic Development Commission.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Common Council.
