An Ordinance Authorizing A Speci~lAppropriation
From the General Fund.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 7th day of August, 1967, at
a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Jeffer-
sonville, Indiana, held in the Court Room of the Court House
in said City, the Co~non Council passed a resolution fixing the
21st day of August, 1967, at 4:30 P.M., at the Court House
in said City as the time and place for a meeting of the said
Common Council for the purpose of considering and determining
whether an emergency exists for the passage of an Ordinance
making an appropriation from the General Fund of said City,
and
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has given notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by
law, and
I~ZHEREAS, it having been determined by the Common Council
of the City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for
the appropriation of $50,000.00 for the purpose stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville, Indiana:
Section 1.
That an emergency exists and that there shall be and hereby
is appropriated from the General Fund $50,000.00 for the purpose
of an advancement to the Jeffersonville-Clark County Building
Authority for preliminary costs and expenses in connection with
the construction of a city-county building. Such S~m~'will be
repaid to the General Fund of the city by the Building Authority
upon the sale of bonds to procure the necessary funds for the
construction of such building.
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and e~ect from and
after its passage and approval by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
