An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1658, being
the Fire Prevention Code of the City.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL that the Fire Prevention
Code of the City being Ordinance No. 1658, is amended as follows:
1. General Provisions of Section 1.5 (f) "Orders to
Eliminated Dangerous or Hazardous Conditions".
To be amended to include and read: Any building or other structure
which for want of repairs, lack of of adequate exit facilities,
automatic or other fire alarm apparatus or fire extinguishing
equipment, or by reason of age o~ dilapidated condition, damaged
by fire, or from any other cause, creates a hazardous condition.
2. General Provisions
Fires".
To be amended to include:
of Section 1.7 "Investigation of
paragraph (d) as follows, Any Building
or structure damaged by fire, explosion or from any other cause
shall not have utilities restored nor shall occupants, owners
or anyone else be permitted on premises, unless accompanied by
a Fire Dept. Officer, until such building or structure has been
declared secured and safe for re-entry by the Chief of the
Fire Department, Chief of the Fire Prevention Bureau, Chief
OfficeKo~ Actig Chief Officer)
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
