A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, PROVIDING FOR THE
DISPOSITION OF LAND TO THE DEPARTNENT OF REDEVE-
LOPM~NT OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined that heretofore, on the
1st day of August, 1966, this Council determined to convey certain
real estate iu the City of Jeffersonville located at the northwest corner
of Court and Spring Streets in said City and formerly used as a City
Fire Station and also that triangular pieoe of land owned by the City
at the northeast intersection of Court and Ohio Avenues and being a
triangle formed by Court Avenue, Ohio Avenue and Fifth Street to the
Department of Redevelopment of the City of Jeffersouville, which conveyance
was made by the BO~ard of Public ~orks and Safety of this City ~to the
Department of Redevelopment ou November 14, 1966, and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Redevelopment to
take a conveyance of said real estate from the Mayor of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, and the Clerk-Treasurer of said City pursuant
to Acts of the Indiana General Assembly, 1965, Chapter 253, Sec.1, which
is Burns Indiana Statuhe 53-403, and,
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined that the territories of
the City of Jeffersonville and the Department of Redevelopment of said
City are co-extensive and that the real estate to be conveyed to the
Department of Redevelopment is no longer needed for municipal uses
or purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED t~hat the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer of
the City of Jeffersonville are hereby authorized, empowered and directed
to execute and deliver to the Department of Redevelopment of the City of
Jeffersonville, a deed conveying the aforementioned real estate to said
Department~of Redevelopmeut.
SO RESOLVED this 9th day of September, 1968.
