WHEREAS, the 3effersonville-Clark County Building Authority has
been created under and in pursuance to the provisions of Chapter 54 of
the Acts of the Indiana General Assernbly for the year lq53. as amended,
for the purpose of financing, :acquiring, constructing, equipping, operat-
ing and leasing to the governmental units within the territorial bound-
aries of the County of Clark, lands or buildings for public or govern-
mental purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Authority, at the request of the Board of Commissioners
of the County of Clark and the City of Ieffersonville has caused drawings,
plans, specifications and estimates of costs to be prepared for a City-
County Building to house governmental offices of said City and County;
and
WHEREAS, said drawings, plans and specifications, dated November
24, 1967, and prepared by Wright, l~orteous & Lowe, Inc., architects of
Indianapolis, Indiana, have been adopted by the Authority and approved
by said Board of Commissioners, the Common Council of said City, the
State Board of Health, the State Fire Marshal, and all other state agencies
designated by law to pass upon plans and specifications for public buildings;
and
WHEREAS, the Authority, after advertising and receiving bids, has
entered into a contract for the construction of said City-County Building
in accordance with such drawings, plans, and specifications; and
WHEREAS, the Authority has caused a proposed form of Lease for
said City-County Building to be drafted and submitted to %bls Common
Council; and
WHEREAS, such drawings, plans and specifications appear to pro-
vide adequate facilities for the housing of goverrn"nental offices of the
City of 3effersonville and the terms and conditions of the proposed form
of lease appear to be satisfactory, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Cornrnon Council of the City of /effersonville
that the terms and conditions of the proposed form of leas~ drawings,
plans, specifications and estimates are approved and agreed to as the
basis for a hearing, as required by law, and that such hearing should
be held on the // day of .~/~/~C /-/ , 1968, at the hour of ~O

for the execution of such lease and whether the ~asis for the determination
of lease rental thereunder is fair and reasonable, so that this Common
Council may determine whether such necessity exists, whether the basis
