A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE~ INDIANA~ AUTHORIZING THE BOARD
OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY TO CONVEY REAL ESTATE
TO THE JEFFERSONVILLE DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT
W~EREAS~ on the 28th day of Scptember~ 1945~ the United
States of America~ acting by and through the Federal Public
Housing Authority, dedicated to the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana~ a certain tract of land in the City of Jeffersonville~
known and described as "Eastlawn", a plat of which appears in
Plat Book 6~ page 175~ in the office of the Recorder of Clark
County ~
said project~
said plat as
WHEREAS~
Indiana~ together with all streets and sewer lines in
including a certain parcel known and described in
"Outlot A"~ and~
subsequent to said dedicatlon~ the Jeffersonville
Department of Redevelopment has acquired title to all of the
real estate in said Easttawn tract~ and the Board of Public Works
and Safety of the City of Jeffersonville~ Indiana~ has caused the
streets in said Eastlawn Project to be vacated and set over to
the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment~ with the exception
of "Outlot A" aforesaid~ which parcel was inadvertently excluded
from the vacation proceedings of the Board of Public Works and
Safety aforesaid~ and~
WHEREAS~ it is the desire of the Common Counil of the City of
Jeffersonville~ Indiana~ to authorize its Board of Public Works
and Safety to convey over to the City of Jeffersonville~ for the
use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment~ the only
remaining parcel in "Easttawn" not now owned by the Jeffersonv~lle
Department of Redevelopment~ the same being "Outlot A" in said
tract~
NO~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON CfYJNCIL OF THE
CITY OF Jt~FFER~ONVILLE:
1. That the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Jeffersonville be, and it hereby is~ authorized to convey
unto the City of Jeffersonville, for the use and benefit of its
Department of Redevelopment, the parcel of land situate in
"Eastlawn", known and described as "outlot A" in said project.
2. That this Resolution be effective from and after its
passage.
