An Ordinance Rezoning Certain Property From
R-i, Residential to B-2, Service Business.
BE IT ORDAINED bY the Common Council of the City of Jeffer-
sonville, Indiana, that the zoning ordinance, being Ordinance No.
1527, be amended in that the property hereinafter described is
reclassified and rezoned as follows:
From R-I, Residential, to B-2, Service Business:
Being a part of Lots Numbers three (3) and Four (4) of
Catherine M. Hopkins Subdivision of Grant No. Three (3)
of the Illinois Grant, Clark County, State of Indiana,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center of Ewing Avenue in
Catherine M. Hopkins Subdivision, said point is North
40° West 219.6 feet from the intersection of the center of
Ewing Avenue with the line dividing Lots Numbers Four (4)
and Five (5) of said plat; thence South 50° West 120 feet
to a one inch iron pipe, the true place of beginning; thence
continuing South 50° West 180 feet to an iron pipe; thence
North 40° West 132.3 feet to the southeast line of Middle
Road (now Eighth Street)~ thence North 40° East and with
said Southeasterly line of the Middle Road right-of way
183.2 feet to an iron pipe; thence South 40° East 164.7
feet to an iron pipe, said pipe being the true place of
beginning.
The above described tract being subject to an easement
five (5) feet in width over and across the Southeastern
side of said real estate, said easement reserved f0r
utility and sewer purposes. Grantees shall not have right
of ingress and egress over church property through this
real estate.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
