WHEREAS, Richard L. Vissing as Mayor of.the City o~ .....
Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana, has received notifi
cation from the Technical Secretary of the Stream Pollution~
Control Board of the State of Indians, that a Federal
offer in the total amount of $572,000 has been tendered to
the City of Jeffersonville by the Environmental Protective
Agency and the Water Quality Office of the United States, /i" ~
which grant offer is identified as follows: Federal Sewage
Works Grant WPC-Ind-397, and
WHEREAS, it is. in the best interest of the City of
Jeffersonville, the people and citizens thereof, to accept
such grant offer in order to build, construct and prOvide the
sewage facilities for which such Grant was requested,
NOW THEREFORE itI is hereby resolved as follows:
1. That the grant offer as hereinabove described be
accepted, and the S~eam Pollution Control Board of the State
of Indiana be immediately so notified;
2. That Richard L. Vissing, Mayor of the City of
Jeffersonville, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
the acceptance of the offer for and on behalf of the City of
Jeffersonville, and he is further designated as the Signatory
for the Project and may execute and sign all instruments in
connection with the Project for and on behalf of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana. ~
3. That the City of Jeffersonville agrees and shall
comply with the assurances listed as A through R, inclusive
under Section II of the Grant Offer as well as the additional
grant offer conditions containing three paragraphs attached
thereto.
Adopted by the Cozmnon Council of the City of Jeffersonville
Indiana, this 6th day of July, 1971.
