An Ordinance Authorizing a Special Appropriation
From the General Fund.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 18th day of July, 1972, at a special
meeting of the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
held in the City-County Building of said City, the Common Council passed
a resolution fixing the 14th day of August, 1972, at 7:30 P.M., at the
City-County Building in said city a~ the time and place (~r a meeting
of the said Common Council for the purpose of considering and determing
whether an emergency exists for the passage of an ordinance making an
appropriation from the funds hereinafter set out, and
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has given notice of the time,
place and purpose of s6id meeting in the manner prescribed by law,
and
WHEREAS, it haiing been determined by the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for the appropriations
hereinafter set out and for the purpose stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City
of jeffersonville, Indiana:
Section 1.
That an emergency exists and that there
shall be and hereby is
appropriated the following:
An appropriation in the amount of $5,200.00 from the
General Fund of the City (or the purpose of purchasing
and installing an engine and transmission in one of the
city fire trucks.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and
after its
