An Ordinance Authorizing Special
from the Revenue Sharing Fund and an Additional
Appropriation from the General Fund.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 2nd day of July, at a regular meeting
of the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, held
in the City-County Building of said City, the ~ommon Council passed
a resolution fixing the 6th day of August, 1973, at 7:30 P.M., at
the City-County Building, in said City as the time and place for a
meeting of the said Common Council for the purpose of considering and
determining whether an emergency exists for the passage of an ordinance
making appropriations from the funds hereinafter sbt out, and
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has given notice of the time, place
and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by law, and
WHEREAS, it having been determined by the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for the appropriations
hereinafter set out and for the purposes stated:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDIANED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA:
Section 1.
That an emergency exists and that there
appropriated the following:
shall be and hereby is
A special appropriation from the Revenue Sharing Fund in the
amount of $28,500.00 for the Parks Department for the follow-
ing matters and things: One two ton Dump Truck $6,500.00;
One 1/2 half ton Pickup Truck $3,000.00; Repair of Sewer Sys-
tem at the Fieldhouse $2,000.00; Construction of a Utility
Building $16,000.00
A special appropriation from the Revenue Sharing Fund in the
amount of $47,000.00 for the Street. Department for the follow-
ing equipment: One Street Sweeper $14,500.00; One Catch Basin
Cleaner $16,500.00; One Equipment Storage Building $16,000.00.
A special appropriation from the Revenue Sharing Fund in the
amount of $28,000.00 for the Fire Department for the following
items: One Automobile equipped with, radio, lights and safety
equipment $5,000.00; $23~000.00 for current payment on Fire
Truck.
A special appropriation from the Revenue Sharing Fund in the
amount of $6,176.00 for the Police Department for the follow~
ing items: Polygraph Machine $2,800.00; Typewriters, Camera,
Photo Supplies and Line Equipment $3~376.00.
An additional appropriation for the Planning and Zoning Depart-
merit for No. 262 contractual services from the General Fund in
the amount of $2,926.00 for the purpose of paying one-half of
the cities share of the cost of a quality water control study
by the Metropolitan Council of Governments.
A special appropriation from the Revenue Sharing Fund in the
amount of $10,000.00 for the purpose of paying for the codi-
fication of the ordinances of the city including freight charges
and any other incidental cost incurred in connection with such
codification.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and
