An Ordinance Authorizing Special Appropriations
from the General Fund, Revenue Sharing and from
the funds of the Local Streets and Road Fund of
the State of Indiana.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 1st day of July, 1974, at a regular
meeting of the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
held in the City-County Building of said City, the Common Council
passed a resolution fixing the 5th day of August, 1974, at 7:30 P.M.,
at the City-County Building in said City as the time and place for
a meeting of the said Common Council for the purpose of considering
and determining whether an emergency exists for the passage of an
ordinance making an appropriation from the funds hereinafter set out,

WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has given notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by law,
and
WHEREAS, it having been determined by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for the appro-
priation hereinafter set out and for the purpose stated:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA:
Section 1.
That an emergency exists and that there shall be and hereby is
appropriated the follow~ng:
An Additional appropriation from the General Fund in
the amount of $7,800.00 for salary of a housing inspector.
From the sum, the salary expended for such inspector from
January 1, 1974 to termination, including Social Security and
Retirement, shall be p~id to the Motor Vehicle Fund. The
balance of such funds is for the salary, Social Security and
Retirement from said date until December 31, 1974.

An additional appropriation from Revenue Sharing in the
amount of $3,800.00 for a new truck for the Dog Pound.
An additional appropriation from Revenue Sharing in the
amount of $4,000.00 fo~ Street and Garbage Trucks (Other
Garage and Motor Supplies, Tools and Parts).
An additional appropriation from Revenue Sharing in the
amount of $10,000.00 for Roofing City Garage and Painting
at 1004 Fulton Street.
An additional appropriation from Revenue Sharing in the
amount of $10,300.00, which is the City's portion, for
rebuilding intersections, streets, roads and construction
and reconstruction of streets and roads.
An additional and special appropriation from the funds
of the Local Streets and Road Rund of the State of Indiana
as provided by Statute in the amount of $92,000.00.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
psssage and approval by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
