An Ordinance AUthorizing Special Appropriations
from the Revenue Sharing Fund and from the Sewage
Operation and Maintenance Fund. ~..
W[4EREAS, heretofore on the 4th day of FeDruary~1974, at a
regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana, held in the City-County Building of said City, the
Corcmon Council passed a resolution fixing the 4th day of March,
1974, at 7:30 P.M., at the City-County Building in said City
as the time and place for a meeting of the said Common Council for
the purpose of considering and determining whether an emergency
exists for the passage of an ordinance making an appropriation
from the funds hereinafter set out, and
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer ~has given notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by
law, and
WHEREAS, it having been determined by the Con, on Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for the
appropriations hereinafter set out and for the purposes stated:
Section 1.
That an'emergency exists and that there shall be and hereby
is appropriated the following:
Special appropriations from the Revenue Sharing Fund
for the following:
Street Department - Traffic Control Signs and sign
material in the amount of $6,000.00; Sign Machine in
the amount of $2,000.00; Stripe Machine in the amount of
$2,000.00; Dump Trucks in the amount of $20,000.00;
Street Construction in the amount of $50,000.00.
Sanitation Department - Garbage Packers in the amount of
$46,000.00.
An additional appropriation from Revenue Sharing Fund
in the amount of $500.00 for Advertising.
An additional appropriation from Revenue Sharing Fund in
the amount of $3,000.00 ~or supplies for NCR electronic
accounting for Clerk-Treasurer's Office.
A special appropriation for the Parks Deparmtne for a
New filter for Ewing Lane Swimming Pool im the amount
of $3,080.00.
A special appropriation fr~m the Sewage Operation and
Maintenance Fund in the amount of $116,365.77 for the
purpose of paying the balance due on the contract of the
E. H. Hughes and Mather Construction Companies for the
Mill Creek Sewer project. Such sum to be an advance and
to be repaid to said fund upon receipt of the final payment
from the United States and State of Indiana under the Grant
for the construction of said Mill Creek sewer project.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
