HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-30-01o~to~oer 30, 2001 1 COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA OCTOBER 30, 2001 The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana met in special session in Mayor's Conference Room in the City-County Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana at 3:30 P.M. the 30th day of October, 2001. The meeting was called to order by Council President Les Merkley, with Clerk Treasurer Peggy Wilder at the desk. Also present were City Attorney Anne Marie Galligan, Deputy Clerk Barbara Hollis. The roll was called and those present were; Councilpersons Les Merkley, Ron E Denny Frantz, Barbara Wilson, and Vicki Contin. Absent: Councilpersons Ron Grooms and Rob Waiz. City Attorney Anne Marie Galligan presented and explained Ordinance No. 2001-OR- An Ordinance Authorizing The Issuance Of Not To Exceed $8,500,000 Aggregate Print Amount Of Variable Rate Dem~tnd Economic Development Revenue Bonds, Series 2001 (E~ Steel Products, Inc. Project) Of The City Of Jeffersonville, Indiana, The Proceeds Of WI Shall Be Loaned To Eagle Steel Products, Inc., A Kentucky Corporation, To Finance · Acquisition, Construction, Installation And Equipping Of An Economic Development Fac Located Within The City Of Jeffersonville, Indiana: Providing For The Pledge And assign~ Of Revenues For The Payment Of Said Bonds; Authorizing A Trust Indenture, Loan Agreer And Placement Agreement, Authorizing The Use And Distribution Of A Preliminary Pri Placement Memorandum And A Private Placement Memorandum With Respect To The Bo Authorizing Agreements To Secure Further The Payment Of Said Bonds; And Authorizing C Actions In Connection With The Issuance Of Such Bonds. Following all discuss, Councilperson Conlin made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 2001-OR-33 on the third reai seconded by Conncilperson Wilson, passing on a vote of 4-0.
