WHEREAS, the City is now the owner of park land comprisedi~
of approximately 50 acres northeast of Allison Lane and being part
of what was formerly commonly known as the Ash property, and
WHEREAS, the Parks Department of the city is in the process
of developing this park land for the use of the citizens and other
nearby residents of the area and
WHEREAS, in order to fully utilize such property it will be
necessary to construct and build a new road connecting sUch parkland
with the present roadway system in the general area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Engineer
be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to commence a study
of the needs of construction of such a roadway and to institute
the necessary engineering for such construction.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana, this 3rd day of February , 1975.
