An Ordinance Authorizing Special Appropriations
from the Motor Vehicle Fund and the Revenue Sharing Fund
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 27th day of May, 1975, at a regular
meeting of the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
held in the City-County Building in said City, the Common Council
passed a resolution fixing the 23rd day of June, 1975, at 7:30 P.M.,
at the City-County Building in said City as the time and place for
a meeting of the said Common Council for the purpose of considering
and determining whether an emergency exists for the passage of an
ordinance making an appropriation from the funds hereinafter set out,
and
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Treasurer has given notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting in the manner prescribed by law,
and
WHEREAS, it havings been determined by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that an emergency exists for the appro-
priations hereinafter set out and for the purposes stated:
Section 1.
That an emergency exists and that there shall be and hereby
is appropriated the following:
Additional appropriations from the Motor Vehicle Fund
as follows:
TO: ~426 Chemicals $400.00
~262 Construction & Reconstruction
of Streets & Alleys 45,000.00
Additional and Special Appropriations from the Revenue
Sharing Fund for the following purposes and f~for the
following amounts for the Street Department:
For the Construction and re-construction~of
Streets and alleys $70,000.00
Tools, Vehicle parts, supplies,
sign material, sign paint
Reconstruct roof, paint, fence,
install salt and chemical
and repair garage building on
Mechanic Street
12,000.00
6,000.00
Sodium Chloride for Ice &
Snow removal
6,000.00
New Tractor with Belly Mower
and Sickle Bar
10,000.00
Air Compressor
6,500.00
Engineering cost, Culvert
Material~Road Material for
Construction of Park Road to
New Park off Road 62 20,000.00
Additional and Special appropriation from the Revenue Sharing
Fund for the purpose of reconstructing and replacing pumps
and~quipment at Sewage Lift Stations on Ewing Lan~ and
Hopkins Lane $20,000.00
An additional and special appropriation from the Revenue
Sharing Fund for Sewer Chemicals $2,000~00
An additional and special appropriation from the Revenue
Sharing Fund for the Animal Shelter for the following
purposes and for the following sums:
Chemicals $2,000.00
Animal Food, bedding, disenfectant
and general supplies 3,000.00
An additional and special appropriation from the Revenue
Sharing Fund for special counsel fees and cost of litigation
in the sum of $10,000.00
An additional and special appropriation from the Revenue
Sharing Fund for the Department of Parks and Recreation
for the following purposes and for the following sums:
Repair of Electrical Systems on tennis and
basketball courts
$2500.00
Purchase of 10 1 yd. bins $1600.00
Additional lighting - Memorial Park
Stadium
2345.00
New Tractor and Mower
7500.00
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the State Board of Tax Commis-
sioners.
