A Resolution Concerning Purchase of Real
Estate from Department of Redevelopment
in the Claysburg Neighborhood Development
Program.
The matter of the purchase of approximately 4 1/2 acres of land
from the Department of Redevelopment came before the council and
was discussed at length by the council and the director of such
department Carroll Gowens and whereas it has been concluded by the
council and the mayor that it is in the best interest of the public
in general that this ground be purchased f~r park purposes by the
city from the Department o~ Redevelopment.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the area composed of approximately
4 1/2 acres and encompassing the building formally owned by Harrison
be purchased fDr the sum of $24,513.00 from the Department of Redevelopment
for park purpose~.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
this ~/ day of June, 1976.
