ORDINANCE NO, 77-0R- ~,'~
An Ordinance Fixing Speed Limits on certain
Streets in the City of Jeffersonville and fixing ~,
Penalties for the Violations of such limits.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
in the State of Indiana, as follows:
Section 1.
That it shall be unlawful to operate a vehicle over and along the
streets or parts of streets hereinafter designated in excess of the
speed per hour also hereinafter designated:
10TH Street between Nachand Lane and Sportman Drive --
Per Hour.
45 Miles
8TH Street between Spring Street and the City Limits -- 35 Miles
Per Hour eR~pt school zone when children present 20 Miles Per Hour
Market Street between Spring Street and Brighton Avenue -- 35
Miles Per ttour.
Utica Pike between Brighton Avenue and the City Limits (Mullins
Lane) 40 Miles Per Hour.
Springdale between 8TH Street and 10TH Street -- 30 Miles Per
Hour.
Allison Lane -- 40Miles Per Hour,except SchoOl Zone when children
present ~- 20 miles per hour
Section 2.
That the penalty upon conviction of any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be a fine of not less than ONE DOLLAR nor no more than
FIFTY DOLLARS.
Section 3.
That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by t~e Council and approval by the Mayor and its publication
as provided by Statute.
