JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR OF THE CITY OF JEEFERSONVILLE DEPART~NT
OF REDEVELOPMENT TO EXECUTE A DOCUMENT ENTITLED,
'~tl~ORANDUM OF INTENT", ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
WHEREAS, the Common Council (herein referred to as the "Governing
Body") of the City of Jeffersonville, County of Clark, State of Indiana
(herein called the~ULocatity") has general knowledgeof the Title IX
Economic Adjustment ProgrsmApplication which has been submitted to the
Economic Development Administration for the acquisition of the Baltimore ~
Ohio R~ilroad land, the acquisition of City-owned property, and the private
development and investment to construct a MiniiTh~P~rk; and,
WHEREAS, there has been prepared and referred to the Governing
Body for review and approval a document entitled, '~emorandumof Intent",
said document describing the necessary steps and responsibilities of each
party to acquire and relocate the B ~ O's Piggyback Trailer ~~nd Yard (TOFC)
facility; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment
is the designated official agency to m~ke such applications and administer
said programs on behalf of the Locality and is acting on behalf of the Locality
in this particula~ projedt.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COB~ON COUNCIL FORT HE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA:
That the Executive Director of the City of Jeffersonville Depart-
ment of Redevelopment is hereby authorized to execute the document entitled,
'Memorandum of Intent", on behalf of the City of Jeffersonville.
BE IT ~JP, T~{ER RESOLVED that the Clerk-Treasurer of said City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, is hereby ordered and directed to give notice as
provided by law.
Adopted by the Common Council Of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
this 20th day of Jtme, 1978.
