RESOLUTION OF THE CO~4ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA,
APPROVING THEREOF AND FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR SECTION 8 HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS PROGRAM - EXISTING HOUSING
WHEREAS, under Title II of the Housing and ConmmmityDevelopment
Act of 1974, as amended, the HousingAuthority of the City of Jeffer-
sonville, Indiana has prepared and submitted an application for 60 units
of Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program - Existing Housing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO~ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA:
1. That the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program - Existing
Housing is hereby approved. The City Clerk-Treasurer is hereby directed
to file a copy of said Program with the minutes of the meeting.
2. That it is cognizant of the conditions that are imposed in the
undertaking and carrying out the Section 8 Program with Federal financial
assistance under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974~ as
amended, including those relating to (A) Certification (B) Dwelling Unit
Needs (C) Lease Rent (D) Family Portion of Rent (E) Agency Portion of
Rent (F) Agency Approval of Lease (G) Conditions (H) Equal Housing
Opportunity and (I) Expiration Date.
3. That the financial assistance available under the Housing and.
Community Development Act of 1974, as amended~ is needed to enable the
Housing Authority of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana to finance
the undertakings and activities proposed in said Program~
4. That the Housing Authority of the City of Jeffersonville~ Indiana
is authorized to file an application for financial assistance to carry out
the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment Program - Existing Housing.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk-Treasurer of said City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, is hereby ordered and directed to give notice
as provided by law.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,

CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFICER
THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY CERTIFIES AS FOLLOWS:
1. That he is the duly qualified and acting City-Clerk Treasurer of the
City of jeffersonville, Indiana, (hereinafter called the "Locality"), and the
custodian of the records of the Locality, including the minutes of the pro-
ceedings of -the Con,non Council of the City of jeffersonville, Indiana (here-
inafter called the "Governing Body").
2. That the attached Resolution is a t~x~e and correct copy of a Reso-
lution, including the ~qEREAS clauses, as adopted at a meeting of the Governing
Body held on the _~_ day of _May , 1978, (hereinafter called the "Resolution
of the Governing Body ").
3. That the Resolution of the Governing Body has been duly recorded in
the minutes of the meeting and is now in ful]~ force and effect.
4. That said meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in
accordance with Law and the By-Laws of the Lecality. To the extent required
by Law or By-Laws, due and proper notice of said meeting was given. A legal
quorum of members of the Governing Body was present throughout the meetlng,
and a legally sufficient number of members o::' the Governing Body voted in the
proper manner and for the adoption of the Resolution of the Governing Body.
All other requirements and proceedings under Law, the By-Laws, or otherwise,
incident to the proper adoption of the Resolution of the Governing Body, in-
cluding any publication, if required by Law, have been duly fulfilled, carried
out, and otherwise observed.
5. If an impression of the seal[ has been affixed below, it constitutes
the official seal of the Locality and this cortificate is hereby executed
under such official seal and was duly affixed by the undersigned at the time
this certificate was signed. If no seal has been affixed below, the Locality
does not have and is not legally required to have an official seal.
6. That the undersigned is duly author[zed to execute this certificate.
