HomeMy WebLinkAbout8-13-01Minutes of the Jeffersonville City Council Budget Meeting Monday August 13, 2001 The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville met in budget session Monday August 13, 2001 at 6:00 PM. The meeting was held in the City County Building Room 404. Council President Les Merkley called the meeting to order at 6:12 P.M., with Clerk Treasurer Peggy Wilder and Chief Deputy Suzy Bass at the desk. Roll call was taken and the following Councilpersons were present: Barbara Wilson, Vickie Conlin, Les Merkley, Rob Waiz, and Ron Ellis. Absent: Councilpersons Denny Frantz and Ron Grooms. Police Chief Mike Pavey appeared before the Council to discuss and answer questions about the Police Budget and the Police Pension Budget. Fire Chief Mike Smith appeared before the Council to discuss and answer any questions concerning the Fire Budget and the Fire Pension Budget. The Council then discussed the Local Roads and Streets Budget. The Council directed the Clerk Treasurer to refigure the budget at 3.5% Salary increase, no new employees, and a 5%,~e,,crease in non-personnel line items.
