WHEREAS, the gasoline shortage and price raise has created
problems for the taxicab~ companies and
WHEREAS, the taxicab operators have petitioned the Common
Council of the City of jeffersonville for authority to add a surcharge
to the regular fare for the purpose of assisting in paying the
additional operating cost and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the city of jeffersonville has
concluded that such a surcharge is equitable and should be allowed
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that for a period of ninety (90)
days beginning on May __~/~ , 1979, licensed ~perators of taxicabs
in the City of jeffersonville may add a surcharge to the amount
shown on the cab meter for each service run in the amount of 15
cents.
Adopted by the Common council of the City of jeffersonville,
