INDIANA, AUTHORIZING 21tE FILING OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE'S
FIFTH YEAR C(~x~4UNITY DEVELOPMENtr BLOCK GRANT ENTITLE~ENT APPLICA-
TION
~KEAS, under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act
of 1974, as amended, the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban
Development is authorized to extend financial assistance to cities, towns,
and smaller urban conm~tnities for thp development of viable urban con~nuni-
ties by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and
expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and
moderate income; and,
~4ERFAS, the City of Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment, the
agency responsible for developing and administering the City of Jefferson-
ville's Co~nunity Development Program, is preparing the City of Jefferson-
ville's Fifth Year Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE CO~&4ON COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA:
1. That the City of Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment
is authorized to file the City of Jeffersonville's Fifth
Year Con~nunity Development Block Grant Entitlement Applica-
tion with the Department of lfousing and Urban Development,
including all understa2~dings and assurances contained within
said application.
2. That bIayor R2chard L. Vissing, as the Chief Executive
Officer, is designated as the authorized representative
of the applicant to act in connection with the application
and to provide any additional information that may be
required.
BE IT FURTIIlZR I~ESOLVED, that the Clerk-Treasurer of said City of
.leffersonville, Indiana, is hereby ordered and directed to give notice
as provided by law.
