REDEVELOPMENT'S PARTICIPATION AS ,'SUB-CONTRACTOR" TO
THE INDIANA STATE HOUSING BOARD IN THB SECTION 8
MODERATE REHABILITATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment is the
Agency designated to administer rehabilitation programs and activities
for the City of Jeffersonville; and,
WHERE~S, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has ap-
pro~ed the Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Program for i~plementation
in the State of Indiana; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has award-
ed the administration of the Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Program
in our cormnunity to the Indiana State Housing Board; and,
WHERE., the Department of Housing and Urban Development allows for
the Indiana State Housing Board to .sub-contract" the local rehabilitat-
ion responsibilities to local rehabilitation agencies; and,
WHEREAS, the Indiana State Housing Board has requested the Jeffer-
sonville Department of Redevelopment's participation as "sub-contractor"
for the %ocal rehabilitation responsibilities pertaining to the Section 8
Moderate Rehabilitation Program in our conmmmity; and,
WHBRF~, the Commissioners of the Jeffersonville Department of
Redevelopment approved on September 9, 1980, the Redevelopment Agency's
participation as a ,'sub-contractor" to the Indiana State Housing Board
for the rehabilitation responsibilities of the Section 8 Moderate
Rehabilitation Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ~T RESOLVED BY THE COF~ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, CLARK COUNTY, INDIANA:
~hat this Council approves the Jeffersonville Department of
Redevelopment' s participation as "sub-contractor" to the Indiana State
Housing Board for the rehabilitation responsibiities of the Section 8
Moderate Rehabilitation Program in our commumity and authorizes said
Agency to enter into necessary agreements with the Indiana State Housing
Board for the rehabilitation responsibilities of the Section 8 Moderate
Rehabilitation Program.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk-Treasurer of said City of
jeffersonville, Indiana, is hereby ordered and directed to give notice
as provided by law.
