An Ordinance Annexing a Certain Tract of Contiguous
Territory to the City of Jeffersonville, Clark County,
Indiana.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Jeffersonville,
Clark County, in the State of Indiana, that the following described
tract of contiguous territory is hereby annexed to the said City
of Jeffersonville.
Ordinance 80-0R-23 void, ~arch 23, 1981 by order of
consent, oer order. Attorney Fex and Smith.
Being part of Survey No. 48, 49, 66 and 67 of the Illinois
Orant, Clark County, Indiana more particu%arly described thus:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Silver Creek
and the intersection of the east right-of-way line of the Penn
Central Railroad; said point being in the corporate line of
the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Thence Northward with said railroad right-of-way line to
a point in the North bank of said creek; said point being in
property line of a two acre tract.
Thence S. 70° E. 300 feet with said property line.
Thence N. 56° E. 350 feet to a point.
Thence N. 54° 15' W. 260 feet to a point.
Thence S. 56° West 393 feet to a point; said point being
in the east right-of-way of the .Penn Central Railroad..
Thence Northward with said right-of-way line to a point
in the south east right-of-way line of Bean Road - a 30 foot road.
Thence Northeastward with said right-of-way to a point in
a 14.216 acre tract; said point being S. 48~ 37' 30" W. 552.62
feet from line dividing Survey No. 67 and Survey 68.
Thence S. 41° 05' 39" E. 728.22 feet to a stone.
Thence N. 48~ 27' 18" E. 350.25 feet to a stone.
Thence S. 41° 07' 32" E. 264 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Silver Creek; said center line dividing Jefferson-
ville and Silver Creek Township, in Clark County, State of
Indiana.
Thence with said center line to point of beginning.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Common Council.
