A Resolution Authorizing the Recognition of
Vier Nam Veterans.
WHEREAS. A resolution being co-sponsored by the
entire Indiana House recognizes the inportances of
our Viet Nam Veterans and their problems; and
WHEREAS, The Jeff City Council on April 6th,
endorsed the action of the Indiana House unanimously;
1981
and
WHEREAS, There seems to be a lack of national
support for the plight of many of our Viet Nam
Veterans; and
WHEREAS, These veterans deserve our heartfelt
thanks for protecting the honor of commitments of
our great country; and
NOW THEREFORE, I, Richard L. Vissing, Mayor of
the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, do hereby
proclaim May as "Recognition of vier Nam Veterans
Month" in Jeffersonville, Indiana and call upon all
of our citizens to thank these veterans for our many
blessings we are now enjoying through their sacrifices
and offer our help and support in any of their
endeavors.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville Indiana this 6t~h day o~f April ~g~l.
