WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonvil!e and
the Board of Trustees of the Town of Sellersburg have jointly concluded
that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Jeffersonville
and the citizens of the town of Sellersburg for such communities
governing bodys to enter into an agreement defining limitations
on future annexations by both communities insofar as it may apply
to land lying between Jeffersonville and Sellersburg and not now
being a part of either corporation.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City of Jeffersonville
represented by the proper officers thereof may execute and enter
into the agreement attached hereto and identified as Exhibit "A".

AGREEMEN~
AGREEMENT made effective this day of February,
1981, by and between the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
hereinafter called "City," and the Town of Sellersburg,
Indiana, hereinafter called the "Town."
WHEREAS~, the Town

area lies within 3 miles of any point on the perimeter of the
City; and
WHEREAS, as consideration for the Common Council of the
City giving their consent to the proposed annexation by the
Town and the mutual promises of the parties,
IT IS HEREBY AGREED:
1. That the Common Council of the City of
Jeffer~onville does hereby consent to the annexation of the
territory set forth in Exhibit "A" into the corporate limits
of the Town of Sellersburg, Indiana.
2. That the Board of Trustees 'of the Town of
Sellersburg does hereby irrevocably state that the Town of
Sellersburg shall not now or in the future attempt to annex
the property constituting the Clark County Airport and owned
by the Board of Aviation Commissioners of Clark County,
Indiana, as said area is constituted on th'e date this
Agreement is signed.

3. That the Board of Trustees of the Town of
