An Ordinance Regulating Certain Railroad Crossings. the City of Jeffersonvi!le in the State of Indiana: Section One. That all railroad trains, railroad engines, and any and all other vehicles traveling along railroad rails or tracks shall at the following locations (1) Market Street east of Brightman, .(2) Park Place (3) Charlestown Avenue (4) 8th Street (5) Plank Road (6) 7th Street at Broadway (7) Spring Street at Eleventh and at Ninth Streets (8) Dutch Lane southeast of Whalen Lane stop, and the conductor or trainman in charge of same shall cause a train crew member to flag the traffic traveling over and along such right of way as above listed and to place on both sides of the rail- road track in such right of way a lighted flare or fuse prior to Such train, engine or rail vehicle entering the limits of the street or right of way and after such train clears the ~ublic right of way retrieve the lighted flares or fuse. Section Two. Violation of this ordinance shall be a misdemeanor and any person convicted of violating same shall be fined not less than $25.00 nor more then $250.00. Section Three. This ordinance shall become effective after its passage, approval and publication as required by statute and shall remain in effect for six months beginning on the date of publication. · Dully adopted by the Common Council this ~ day of May, Presen~d byme as Clerk-Treasurer to the Mayor or disapproval this Approved by me this for his approval day of ./~? , 1981.
