RESOLUTION OF THE COFiVDN COL~qCIL OF THE CITY OF j~'~'~fRSONVTT.T.F.,
INDIANA, AUTHOIIIZING SAID COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO AN A~ WITH
THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILT.E DEPARTMtKqT OF REDEVELOPMENT FOR LOAN
FUNDS FROM THE CITY'S CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPRfSfflvKR~ FUND
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment is the agency
of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana~,.which is primarily responsible for
instituting and administering redevelopment projects within said City; and,
WHEREAS, the said Department of Redevelopment is desirous of re-
developing the area along the north side of the Ohio River that lies between
or adjacent to the two interstate highway bridges which connect the said City
with the State of Kentucky and is cc~nonly known as the Falls Landing River-
front Development Project Area; and,
WHEREAS, the City, by the action of its Cc~mon Council taken at a
duly called special meeting on the 23rd day of August, 1982, has been authorized
to lend the jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment One Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($100,000.00) frc~ the City's cumulative capital improvement fund to help
pay for the costs of securing a prime developer and putting together the design
and engineering plans for the Falls Landing Riverfront Develot~ent Project.
NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JE~'~'mRSONVII,I.E, INDIANA, that said Council does hereby authorize its members
to enter into a loan agreement for the above specified funds with the City of
Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk-Treasurer of said City of Jeffer-
sonville, Indiana, is hereby ordered and directed to give notice as provided by
law.
