A RESOLUTION OF THE CO~40N COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE APPROVING THE
DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE DEVELDPMENT OF
THE "FALLS LANDING" AREA OF JEFFERSONVILLE
AND CLAR~<SVI~LE, INUIAN~
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville is
desirous of redeveloping the area along the north side of the Ohio
River that lies between or adjacent to the two interstate highway
bridges which connect tke said city with the State of Kentucky;
and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Redevelopment of the City of
Jeffersonville in order to facilitate the implementation and
carrying out of a redevelopment project in the hereinbefore
described area has caused a development plan to be prepared by a
team of consultants; said development plan being more particularly
titled as the "Falls Landing" Project for Jeffersonville and
Clarksville, Indiana; and said team of consultants being Recreation
Planning Associates, Ltd.; Wurster~ Bernardi & Emmons, Inc.;
Economics Research Associates; and Enviromental Planning Institute.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO~2~{ON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONV!LLE, INDIANA:
1. That it does hereby give its general approval to the
aforesaid "Falls Landing" Project Development Plan as heretofore
submitted by the aforesaid team of consultants in a series of
studies, maps and strategy papers, all of which said studies,
maps and strategy papers are hereby incorporated by reference and
made a part hereof, The City Clerk-Treasurer is hereby directed
to file copies of these said studies, maps and strategy papers
with the minutes of this meeting.
2. That it does hereby give its more particular approval
to those overall concepts of redevelopment and financing outlined
in the said development plan for the therein more specifically
described segments or elements of the total project, namely:
"Clark's Mountain", the "Car Works", the ',Hotel and Riverfront
Project" and the "Riverfront Housing".

THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY CERTIFIES AS FOLLOW~:
1. That he is the duly qualified and acting City-Clerk
Treasurer of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, (hereinafter
called the "Locality"), and the custodian of the records of the
Locality, including the minutes of the proceedings of the Common
Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hereinafter called
the "Governing Body',).
2. That the attached Resolution is a true and correct copy
of a Resolution, including the Wt~P~AS clauses, as adopted at a
meeting of the Governing Body held on the day of ,
1982~ (hereinafter called th~ "Resolution of the Governing Body").
3. That the Resolution of the Governing Body has been duly
recorded in the minutes of the meeting and is now in full force and
effect.
4. That said meeting was duly convened and held in all respects
in accordance with Law and the By-Laws of the Locality. To the extent
required by Law or By-Laws, due and proper notice of said meeting
was given. A legal quorum of members of the Governing Body was
present throughout the meeting, and a legally sufficient number of
members of the Governing Body voted in the proper manner and for
the adoption of the Resolution of the Governing Body. All other
requirements and proceedings under Law, the By-Laws, or otherwise,
incidental to the proper adoption of the Resolution of the Governing
Body, including any publication, if required by Law, have been duly
fulfilled, carried out} and otherwise observed.
5. If an impression of the seal has been affixed below, it
constitutes the official seal of the Localit~ and this certificate
is hereby executed under such official seal and~was duly affixed
by the undersigned at the time this certificate was signed. If
no seal has been affixed below, the Locality does not have and is not
legally required to have an official seal.
6. That the undersigned is duly authorized to execute this
certificate.
